Love that paint work. This build is really coming along. Great quality. Don't forget as you finalize the build you can use our 911 tech articles for a resource. Maybe they will be helpful to you or others.

4 Years later!

Wow, it's been 4 years since I posted. The project never fully stopped but life certainly intervened. Two moves, build of garage, marriage, opened another restaurant and a lot more! I also finished up an easier project (1960 MGA restomod) that was close to being done. So now I am at the happy place of completing the engine. Installing PMO's, clutch, wiring harness and sheet metal this week and looking forward to working on some new phases. I'll let the pics tell the rest of the story!

The MGA and new garage:

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Thanks! I didn't want to cloud up this thread, so here is some more about the MGA if anyone is interested.

God I love that MGA. What's under the car cover in the other link? Sorry for being nosy.

Now the fun really begins!

Any details on those frunk latches please?

The Watson 07-23-2020 04:14 AM

They are OMP racing latches.

Wrapping up rear suspension and brake rebuilds.

Brake components ready for action:

Removing the stuck on race from the wheel bearing. Bought a bearing separator and puller. Best $45 I’ve spent in a while.

Waiting for some suspension parts so I took on a quick refurb of the horns, of course. Total investment about $1.00. Before and after!

it's these small parts/details that take up most time of a build.
great to see you're still at it!
