What to do with 71E targa project?

So what would you guys do with this car?

I put her for sale at $20k which was definitely on the high side, but looking at long hood and other project car pricing, thought it wasn’t crazy high.
Initially I was going to sloooooowly restore it, but have since acquired an SC targa and just lost interest.
Just too old and lazy to tackle this project, and have shifted interest to dune buggies, dirt bikes, etc…
This is too bad, because to me a 2.2E Targa is the shidizzle.

I could:

1 - Hold on to her until I make up my mind – she isn’t in the way.

2 - Put back together with all the good stuff I have collected over the years and sell for best offer.

3 - Put back together like I got her and sell for best offer – then sell all the goodies I have collected.

4 - Part her out – hate to do that on a numbers matching car, and do not want to spend the time required.

Leaning towards option 1 or 3, but curious what you guys think. I really like option 1 just in case I change my mind. Again.

Yes matching number engine.
20k included near perfect fenders, nice hood and deck, ssi, nice Interior Including dash, and all other misc stuff collected over the years. Not just what is in pics. Pretty close to a complete car.

So one vote to keep. Anybody else?

Sell it for $14K and be done with it. A coupe would get you $16K to $18K.

I think someone else here posted a "carcass" 911 with "clear title" for $1750...and it was worth about $100 in scrap metal, as it was hacked/chopped and left like a cow one might see after it's been basking in the Texas Sun for about 10 years(NOTHING but a few bones left)

Looking at this example...it may be worth $2500...that might even be a stretch.

What would one pay to get it in a decent running order...mu guess if 40-60K minimum.

Hey Tilikum why don't you man up and answer to the bogus thread you started in the classifieds.

Like Shaun says,
If this car is straight, not too rusty, and you have most of the parts, you could probably get $13K-14K.
If not, keep it if you have a dry place to store it.

Keep it, or sell it as is, whoever gets it is just going to have to strip it to repaint and rebuild.

if you have the interior, targa roof, chrome, mfi, i think you should get 18 to 20k for your car.
check out the 71E that is pending a sale on Pelican. it was offered at 97000.

Spot on -- with all engine parts and most interior, plus the other stuff you've listed...

Thanks for all the responses.
I know she requires a lot of work but for some reason I feel she deserves it.
To me the 2.2e targa is the ultimate street cruiser.
I was pretty firm on my high-ish price because if she sells I know I will never get another.
