Hi Guys,
I have a 1969 912 in pristine condition and want to prevent the rear torsion tube from rusting from the inside out. Some old timers filled it with oil or grease. What's the best method and where is the best location to put zerk fittings or drill holes to put 90w gear oil in. Thanks __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: |

I don't have any experience with the this. I opened a post in our forums. A Pelican community member may be able to answer your question.

Yours a targa? I have a 69 and just fogged the tube with oil, I would remove the bars to do it that way you can make sure all is good too

Check out CorrosionX HD. Long lasting, creeping fluid which will eventually coat the entire surface to which it is applied.
No affiliation, just think it's a great product. ETA: Check out my creepy photos in this thread.

I've been playing around with Eastwood internal frame coating
I did my truck frame and may use it on my 911 internal cavities |

Wouldn't that get on the splines inside the torsion tube ?? I thought the Eastwood stuff was like an epoxy or paint of some kind.
