Need help pricing Fuchs

Hi all,

I didn't post this in Classifieds because I'm not specifically looking to sell these (not yet anyway).

I have a set of 6x15 Fuchs and I really have no idea what they're worth. Unfortunately my head has been into a motorcycle restoration for the last few years, so I'm not up on values. I took a look at wheels for sale both here on Pelican as well as eBay and Craigslist, but it's kind of all over the map. I know that super clean and restored ones are a pretty penny, but that's not what I've got. And since they're not perfect, I'm having trouble figuring out what they're worth.

Until I get some ballpark value, it's hard to decide exactly what to do with them...

The particulars:
- 6Jx15
- 3 of them have a little curb rash
- no hearts
- no date codes, not sure if that's significant
- 2 center caps with holes, 2 without

And here's a set of pictures:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p8k3vj2qq0i51w3/AABkDPjPZGdZFebJc13sWU7va

Appreciate the help!

$1500 or so... possibly less if rash is bad (sorry, your dropbox access was too slow for me tonight).
no date codes? Are you sure they are real ? 911 part number, fox head stamp ?

I would say closer to $600 for a set of 4. 6x15's aren't very desirable - everyones going bigger.

Not gonna argue, but maybe you mean 6x16 ? 6x15 are desirable. I'd buy all he's got at $600 for a set, but anyway ;-)

$100-150 each with easily fixable road rash, at least that's what I've always been able to find them for!

$100 each? Really? Must be some price gouging going on in Oregon.

Why are 15's desirable?

Why are 15's desirable?
Because they look right on long hood 911s, the price of which has gone way up. 16s are way more common.

As .10 wheels, if all 4 were good drivers, I would say $1600. Given the rash on 1 and gouges on 2, I think you are closer to $1200 and maybe only $1K. on the caps, do the two without holes have prongs or are they ring like the two with holes?

I agree. A quick search of the parts classifieds bears this out.

Thanks for the advice, folks,

And Shaun... the 2 center caps without the holes have prongs on the back.

There has been a set of 15x7's and 8's in parts for sale for over a month at $1500. Why would 6's be worth more? For long nose 911's? Just curious.

Ok, the two with prongs go with these wheels, the two ring style you can sell separately. What do you have on your E now? If you don't need to sell these, I'd tuck them away. Even as flat 6's, they'll do better than your 401k.

I sold a pretty nice set of four matching flat 6x15s from a '74 with original annodizing for $800 3 years ago. No curb rash but nowhere near perfect...and significantly better than those. I would guess about $1K to $1200 as posted earlier. Who knows, try for the $1500, but be ready for a little disappointment.

Re the 7x15 comment...those are much more desirable wheels and always go for more in similar condition.
