What's that noise?
Here's my best shot at describing a drivetrain noise that has progressively gotten more noticeable. First off, my 911 is a 1983sc coupe, 102,000 miles. When driving with either power on, or power off, as in accelerating or decelerating with engine braking, I hear a steady click-clack. When coasting with the tranny in neutral, the noise goes away, as it does if I depress the clutch. Seems the noise is more in time with road speed, rather than engine rpm.
As a matter of course, I checked all my lugnut torques and they were fine. Also, I noticed that when I have my parking brake fully engaged, my car can still be manually pushes forward and backwards a few inches. Any thoughts?? |

Get under her and check your cv joint boots/dust covers.
As far as the ebrake, when pulling the lever, it should be 4 clicks to lock, max 6. If more than 6 you need to adjust it at the rotors evenly on each side or follow the bentley manual.
