Custom order rear deck lid badge?
I can't be the only around looking to have a badge in the rear deck lid of my car a-la '73 RS with the 2.7 one?
I ordered one through our host back in March, only for 2.5 months later to be told that they were not going to be able to sell any this year because their vendor had been giving them problems. One of the guys at Vertex referred me to an individual at The Samba overseas in Lebanon (?), but he never wrote me back despite having an advertisement at the website. So, does anyone know any vendor who can do a 3.5 badge with the classic Porsche font? Please post your experiences in getting one made. I am trying to avoid seeking a 2.5 badge and merging it with one that has a 3 in front of it, as it'd likely not look as good as a new one made specifically with the 2 desired numbers. Thanks in advance! |
Sub'd. I'd like to get a 3.2 badge, same as my avatar.

I ordered a 3.2 badge same as the avatar of Arner2 from our host 6 months ago and was told that its being made. I guess I won't be expecting it to arrive so there goes my money. I made a follow up sometime February and was told it was coming but its already June or should I say July.

Unsure if these guys do custom work but it doesn't hurt to ask:

I found these a few months ago - Pricey? Yes. Cool? Very. Do I want one? Hell Yes!
I have no affiliation, just passing it on. Buy the amazing Porsche 2.7 Litre enamel badge - Free Shipping! |
I finally got around last week in emailing the only 2 entities included in this thread, and Design 911 out of the UK responded right away saying they don't do it, nor are aware of some vendor that does it. As to Arnie Brown, never had the decency to even return the email.
Anyone have any other sources that can make these? |
If you have a 2.8, or another Audi displacement, their badges are the same (or extremely similar) script. Check it out:

That's a thought. Not exactly the same, but if you don't have the 911 emblem on the back, matching exactly is probably not absolutely necessary.

If you are still looking for an authentic 2.7 rear deck badge check our **********.com or Sierra Madre Collection. I accidently ordered one from each place; they both sell Genuine Porsche and cost around $60.00 (I sold the extra one on eBay to some guy in Brazil!!)
They have other displacement rear deck badges as well. Tom |
I need one to say 3.5, so off to eBay I went and saw that Nissan uses them frequently, so I pulled the trigger, as it appears no one in the Porsche universe can make a custom one... It look decent and paid $12.00 for it, including shipping!

Interesting. I just stumbled over to eBay. The 3.2 badge from a 96 Isuzu Trooper looks as good if not better than the Audi. Bottom would have to be trimmed but the 3 . 2 is set up as one unit for easier attachment. -J
