Replacing Marelli Dizzy

Pelican indicates that the bosch replacement for the Marelli dizzy is on backorder with no ETA ! Does anyone know of an alternate source (new or rebuilt) that has one in stock or a list member with one FS ?

TIA

For a man who obviously has a fine taste in cars, I will point you to the search function.

Search for "Marelli" with the username "Fishcop". Or click the link below:

Basically, you can probably find a 2.7CIS distributor and get it machined (if needed) to fit. Then you get it recurved and you're done.

Should be cheaper than the "new" price.

John

I couldn't figure out if you ever had yours recurved?

No I haven't yet. The curves are remarkably similar and I am lazy... The wheels will be off the car for a couple of weeks from next week (for restoration), so I'll probably send the dizzy away at that stage. I've been quoted $125 for full rebuild and re-curve. As it doesn't need a rebuild, the re-curve shouldn't cost me too much.

Still got snow over there? Absolutely starting to cook here again!

Didn't make it down this year, but I hear from someone at work that it has been raining on Ruapehu. NOT good for snow cover.

South Island might still be ok.
