Thanks Tagamaynila! The car is great. Of course, I started another project on it. I am putting in electric AC using a hybrid of stock, Griffiths and Classic Retrofit parts. You can find that project here:

I took a couple of months off to travel and have fun, but I will be back to it soon.

Thanks for checking in. If you have any questions...feel free to reach out.

SpyderMike, good to know you car car is doing great. By the way it looks awesome. The other thing I like is that you post a new thread when you do other things. This way it is keeps things organized. Very much like everybody who has a Gbody our AC needs to be updated. For sure I will be following this new AC thread, fascinated and learning along the way.

Thanks again! I really like this site for all the information that is available. I just try to pay back by posting things I think might help, even if it a mistake I have made, and to do it in a way that might be easy to find.

I hope my hybrid AC works, but, if it doesn't, I will keep at it until it does!

So far, the new hybrid AC system works! I am now in the "dial it in phase"...and waiting for warmer weather.

Due to the new AC system equipment location, I needed to come up with a windshield washer system. I finished it today and here it is:

Total cost around $25.

And the process keeps moving along. The AC system still works great with no issues. For a while I have heard the groan in the front while coming to a stop or a slow turn. I am pretty sure I know what it is. I think the last front bearing change was in the early 1990s somewhere between 100k and 150k miles.

Anywho I got the new parts in from Pelican and started the process of taking everything apart. What a mess! The races are a bigger and I will be using my grill to heat things up as I only got one out with a hammer/drift method. I have got to clean the part too.

So far, things look good for 250,000 miles and 40 years!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1750637701.jpg
