Those plugs are not for our cars. Best to use conventional plugs , bosch or ngk

Another plug that might work is an Autolite 2626 ... a barrier gap wide range plug.
This type of plug has no projecting ground electrode...so the gap is set at the factory...and never needs regapping.
Bosche used to make this same type of plug for snowmobiles...they called it the "GO plug".
The real advantage of the Autolite plug?...about $2.50 each!

These surface gap plugs aren't a universal fit. What 911 models works with these plugs? I look for a few Porsche models on some application charts, and it's a no-go.

Thanks,
Sherwood

Those are the standard go-to plugs. For knats-hair improvement, the proper heat range surface gap plugs don't have a side electrode to shroud the spark in order to equalize the fuel burn. In lieu of these plugs, those looking for that extra edge use indexing spark plug washers to "point" the side electrode in the correct "unshrouded" direction.

Why are these plugs not for our cars?
The manufacturer claims that it produces a stronger spark and last longer. Also seems to be a conventional plug, just a smaller stronger center electrode and U groove electrode.

Why not just go to Pelican and order the plugs for your car. Or see what they are and go to Pep Boys and buy them there. Or Auto zone.

Has anybody used NGK or Denso Iridium plugs in their 911 ?
Curious to know if they worked or not.

Survey results unknown, but why wouldn't they work? The iridium center electrodes are merely a longer lasting material for extended service intervals. The initial cost is higher, but if they last twice as long, the added cost is a push. If longer, all the better.

Otherwise, more user experience could provide more insight.

Another vote for NGK or Bosch. Correct heat ranges can be adjusted up or down. Consider looking into ""plug indexing"......

After a recent diagnosis from a smog test failure.

I checked out my existing plugs and found less then desirable sparks via yellow/orange colored sparks. So I bought some iridium plugs to test versus new copper plugs. The new copper plugs sparked considerably larger and more blue in color.

You can test this yourself using Bentley's method.
