usually the only item in there that fails is the outer 0-ring on the top aluminum disc. you usually see it sticking out when the top clip and steel disc is removed. i got a bag of them from a local rubber outfit (gardico). there's a small one inside the disc also that seals against the shaft. air gets in and it compresses.

Rebuild Kit

I just ordered the rails, gaskets, and safety collars from Pelican with free shipping. At the same, I ordered the rebuild kits for tensioners from Vertex in Florida (only place I could find them). I paid extra for 2nd day shipping so I'd have all weekend to do it -- but Vertex didn't ship them until the next day -- the Pelican parts arrived Friday, and Vertex shows tracking for Monday arrival. I called them to bee-hatch -- but they just said I should have ordered it by phone instead of online & it would have been no problem. What can you do? Sure wish Pelican would find some of these to stock. A local mechanic also said he could get them for me Monday (asked Thursday). Good luck with ********** -- give them plenty of lead time & don't pay to expedite shipping.

George
