ROW SC Engine Tin

The battered and rusty original has the hole/fitting for the smog pump; pump/tubes, etc. now removed so I'm looking for a replacement tin. Anyone know the part #? I thought it might be 911.106.085.03 but that one looks a bit different on the passenger side...

Thanks.

Here's a photo of my original (at top with the part I referenced).

The old piece looks like it has been modified just to the passenger side of the pulley -- like maybe someone installed an air conditioning compressor mount that mounts to the right two bolts that hole the engine console, thereby coming up from below into the engine compartment. It is not exactly right for that purpose, so there might have been something else involved.

The new piece looks correct for a 911SC without the air conditioning compressor mount.

Have you held both of these pieces up against the engine to compare how each fits?

The '78 euro had an air pump just like the ones in the US.
When I removed my air pump and tubing I installed an electrical panel plug from a hardware store and painted it to match to cover up the hole.

I shoved the top off an orange juice container into the hole We are a bit rough out here in the colonies but it did work.

Thanks everyone! Haven't tried the new one yet (car's still at paint shop) but I'm encouraged by cmonref's comments. AC has been removed from my car, and because it was added later I'm sure that explains the sloppy modification to the engine tin on the right side...
