Post "click... whirrrrrr". Ohh, that can't be good.

It seems as though my starter has finally decided to call it quits.
Has anyone managed to remove a starter from an '87-'89 Carrera WITHOUT doing a partial engine drop? Can it be done?

Thanks

two nuts and the slave cylinder is out of the way. leave the hose on it. some pushing effort req'd to get it back on. still a tight operation, but possible.
