How to remove the vacuum line on 1987 3.2 carrera W/out unmounting the engine
Hi:
My 78 3.2 carrera engine suffers from the idle hunting problem when the engine was warm. I check the ICV and that's not the reason. So its down to the vacuum line and I saw cracked rubber on the left hand side hose of the vacuum line. It seems to be a huge project to get to the vacuum line and need to unmount the engine to do so. Is that any chance I can remove the engine heater blower and unscrew the vacuum pipe easily? Regards |

I don't think you have to drop the engine to do vacuum lines. I have been considering doing the vacuum lines on my car and figure I'd just remove all the small things that come off easily and deal with the rest.

which vac line did you see that was cracked? I thought you meant that one (to the rear tunnel) - There are quite a few ya know, but this one is the most fun.
