Big Bottom

Here's the tail I'm going to test out tomorrow at Willow Springs.

(For the record, the oil spots are from the Jeep.)

Yes, the tail is big.

Oh I know, it's big.

Wow that's big.

I remember reading that if you put a spoiler in the back of a 911, you need one up front. Since that one is so much bigger, do you need a more effective front spoiler to balance things out?

Is Willow Springs a high speed track? Seems like that wing would really help at speeds over 70 mph.

Have fun.

Maybe the pics of the white guy are just a cover.

Are you really Sir Mix-a-lot?

IMHO that wing cries out for a widebody.

Is Vin Diesel riding co-pilot?

(BTW, I think it is pretty cool.)

I would love to see the looks that thing gets on the street. You have got to go spank some cheesdix with that tail while you've got it on--I can only imagine that beast pulling lengths on some chump with the pteradactyl tail and flames shooting out the the pipes. I need a pic of that.

Jack, will you be joining us for Big Bear Run II & let the guys check out your rocket?

If your wing gets any bigger the FAA might need to get involved. You have plans to get your pilots license?

BTW, how’s the sticker?

That wing only sees the street on the way to the track. At all other times, the look is much more subdued.

On the track, it also gets a more aggressive front splitter, along with more effective brake ducts.

And Ryan, yes, I'm hoping to do the Big Bear run, schedule pemritting. I won't have the wild arodynamic stuff on for that trip, though. I'd ruin all the pictures.

Yeah, I hadn't gotten to see the splitter since the post while you were making/designing it. It's kind of hard to see in the pics, but what I can see looks pretty good.

You must like Queen.

Wow!

You could start a charity drive and give the homeless down at the park a place to sleep!

Hope it proves effective at the track. That's why you bought it! How many tails you have for that thing? Four?

Carrera-like tail, elec. 964 lid, original lid, and now the Super GTR?

BTW, don't BS us about the oil. We all got some leaks. Remember, the first step they teach you in AA is admitting you have a problem. I don't, but that's 'cause my car is a garage queen.

Lookin' good as always Jack (the car, not you)

Michael, my rule is to only copy from the guys who are faster than me.

Yeah, I'm going for the testing day tomorrow. Come on down, if you get a chance. It's going to be mostly Cobras testing, I suspect, because of their event this weekend.

Um, and in terms of admitting I have a tail problem, let me say I'm cutting down. I sold the Turbo tail. So now it's just:

1) Stock Lid
2) Ducktail for R Gruppe stuff
3) 964 tail for street driving
4) IROC tail, maybe soon to be displaced by:
5) RS 3.8 tail, which might get a 60-inch banana wing if the current set-up doesn't slow me down enough.
