O/T? 904 Windscreen Dimensions

Wasn't sure where else to post this odd question, but since there's not really a location dedicated to 904 topics, I thought I would post it here.

I'm guessing I won't get a lot of response, but I'm looking for some dimensional verification on a 904 windscreen. if anyone has the ability to pull some numbers for me it would be greatly appreciated. Directly up the middle, across the bottom and top (as best as possible) and if it's possible to get a depth at the front, as if it were laying on on the ground, that would be great too. Taken from a plexi windscreen will be just fine. Just trying to verify what I'm chasing.

Thanks for any help! I know it's a weird request.

Here's a visual with not so straight dimension lines scribbled in...

Bump for a new day.

Any help would be appreciated. I know it's a bizarre request.

Thanks!

Did you ask one of the guys with 904 replicas? There was one from the UK on Early S Registry and there's another here in off topic.

I haven't. I know there is one in-progress that's a Beck car, but I don't think he's taken possession of it yet. Rico had a Beck car also, but I believe he sold it.

I will search around for some replicas. Thanks!

Looks like everyone that has posted regarding a 904, replica or real, has since sold their cars. I contacted one member that recently posted, but can't tell if he actually owns a 904, real or otherwise. Maybe he'll be able to help.

I didn't realize there was an O/T section on this forum. Just always browsed the Porsche forums. Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place.

The guy that posted on Early S and DDK (I think) had a MW I think it was called. I remember him trying to find the right windscreen gasket with the white stripe so I figured he might have the dimensions. I can't remember if it was him or the guy here that had the sheetmetal frame like the original but with a bit thicker gage for extra rigidity.

Edit: here's the thread: My next project is a...

These prints have a scale on it so you may be able to extrapolate. Another option is to reach out to Porsche they may be willing to offer assistance, ya never know.

Regards
Dave

Thanks! Yeah, I've been following that thread. He hasn't taken possession of the car yet, so I'm not sure he can help. I'll shoot him a message, none the less. I'm actually not too terribly far from Beck and have been meaning to go down there and look at those cars.

I'll check out DDK also. There was a car that I was watching on the Early S forum and then all of a sudden he had sold the car, so I didn't think it was worth messaging him. Not sure if he went by DDK or not. I'll look.

THANK YOU!

Dave,
I bet I've looked at that picture a 100 times and never noticed the scale on there. DUH! That might help me, assuming that the drawing is accurate to the real car, but scaled.

Thanks Dave!

Mine is now safely tucked in the garage. I'll take the measurements for you later this week when I get home.

We've got a replica in the garage, may even have an extra wind screen. I'll get some measurements.

Okay. Straight measurements taken on the car with no screen installed :

Vertical 24"
Top across 40"
Bottom across 48"

The gage cluster was kind of in the way for the bottom measurement but it should be close.
