Backdating the dash questions
I am thinking of a backdate of my 1985 dash to the early 1970s with the aluminum trim and basket weave. I see the aluminum trim pieces available. I was curious if the basketweave is glued directly to this or it is wrapped around a piece of aluminum and then adhered to the trim piece.
Any help here is appreciated. Mike |

Are you going to cut holes for all the dash switches or do something else?

Helix8...I have the Rennline DA67 dash delete in black for my 1985. No knee pad. The aluminum dash extrusion and basketweave vinyl were sourced from eBay.
mreid, I put two of the three switches on a subpanel where the ashtray used to be. You can see it through the steering wheel. I then covered it in vinyl. The emergency flasher switch will be given under the dash on the left side. ![]() Last edited by SpyderMike; 10-31-2015 at 12:24 PM.. |
