Good "Do-All" alignment specs

Good morning all.

I tried searching but after a few pages I couldn't seem to find an answer to my question.

I refreshed some bits on my front suspension this winter and am taking my 86 in to get aligned this Friday afternoon. I drive the car 1-2 days a week around town or out on a date with my wife but I am also registered for 4 track days this year and a possible 5th.

The shop I am taking the to car is doing an alignment, corner balance and tech inspection and said they would set my alignment however I want.

What would be a good set up to give me a little better performance on the track but not kill the drive-ability on the street? I am running stock everything (turbo tie rods) and Fuch's 16x6/7 with Direzza tires that are in good shape.

^^ That is not what you want.

Drop it a half inch from the stock height, go with an additional 30 minutes of negative camber on each end and leave everything else stock. Make sure both sides are the same.

Thanks! Keep the feedback coming so we can get a "consensus" of sorts by Friday morning.

I would go with stock settings and you could look for the Ray Scruggs settings as a second source. If the shop can do it, have them just set closer to more negative camber vs. nominal.
Really depends on how much tire wear you want to tolerate if you drive a lot on the street.

You would be amazed how well the 911 handles with stock settings, if you could get it there. That's a big if since most 911s have been lowered beyond the point of being capable of stock settings.

Cheers,

Joe

My car hasn't been lowered at all since stock. It actually has a slight bit of reverse rake so I do intend on lowering it a smidge in the back and a smidge + a scosh up front. lol
