Ok, probably the easiest question you have all day but I can't find the answer anywhere and my 1984 owner's manual is no help.

What is the wheel control between the temperature and fan controls for my a/c?

PS Explains why I thought there was so much sound up front and the fade control on the radio itself did so little.
