Another Clutch Question - Bent my pedal
I was adjusting the clutch and made the mistake of pushing in the clutch pedal from outside the car (not sitting in the seat). Next thing I notice, the clutch pedal bent in towards the brake.
Question: Should I order a new pedal or straighten out the old. My concern is that the metal is fatigued and will continue to bend. I have previously rebuild the whole pedal assembly so this is kind of a drag to have take that all apart again but I will if I have to. Any advice? |

I assume that the pedal hasn't been bend too much (in degrees), thus I think it hasn't been weakened substantially. Simply bend it back where it belongs.

+1 just bend it back if not too bent inward.
post a pic. My brake pedal was tweaked a bit to the left from PO with an elephant foot. I just straightened her right out.

Not to thread-jack, but Jim - yours is the case I was trying to recall/search for recently. There is another thread here with a similar condition, and I couldn't find your(?) example. I will try again now.
