Option Codes

I need help in deciphering some codes from the 911 I am looking at. This is from the sticker on the inside of the front hood.

Type 911340 0302164G9157374G L027 LE Options CO2

Thanks in advance.

I tried the decoder listed before. It appears by my understanding of the information that the only option is C02 which is the cat converter. What does the other info tell me?

JR, does your sticker have any "M" codes? Those are the codes that describe the optional equipment. The L027 code is your paint color (I don't have my book with the color info in it here at work). LE is a code about the type/color of interior you have.

Regards,

Jim

I'm inspecting the car tomorrow, the information is from the current owner. Unfortunately, I don't have any further details.

At least the color code matches, off to a good start.

Just in case someone else somewhere has this same issue...

I had the same problem with my new (to me) 1986 911 Turbo-look Cabriolet. The only option listed on the sticker under the hood was C02 (Cat. Converter).

I called Porsche Customer Service (1-800-PORSCHE, Option 3 I think) and the gentleman who answered was able, based on VIN, to look up all the option codes on my 911! I then looked up the descriptions. Unfortunately, Kindel's automagic decoder wasn't working as I did this.

The only code I can't find is P59, but I'm assuming this is the Turbo-look option(?) since it's the only thing missing from the list.

Regards,
David

I just called 1-800-Porsche and was told my 81 with the euro vin wasn't in his data base. However, for $95 he would send me an authenticity certificate that would somehow contain all the info I asked for. While he was "searching" he got my name, address, and phone, so he got more info than he provided.

Bahh.... ripoff.
