1979 911 w/ 3.2L: When I try to turn on the headlights, the window wipers come on instead. The fuses are all good, and I think both bulbs are good too, as the driver side bulb came on very dim, intermittently. Where should I start?

It sounds like the grounds may be bad for the headlights, and they're trying to ground through the wipers. Trace the wiring back from the headlights and I bet you'll find your answer.

Since I sent that message, both the horn and the turn signals began activating the windshield wipers as well. Would your suggestion still apply?

i concur. it's the ground. i had many switches turn on the wiper. tried to clean ground contacts for relevant components but still doing it so added more ground wires in addition to existing brown wires and so far so good.
