Sc questions
Hey guys I'm trying to work out where exactly these parts should be going in this first picture I have this that is mounted behind my front bumper but the cable is burnt off from where it should of been going I'm unclear in this diagram what's suppose to be happening and should it be going to the tank ventilation unit?
What's the deal with the charcoal canister it looks like it's suppose to join there somewhere ? ![]() My other question is does anyone know what this connector is for that is taped in with my gauge looms? ![]() My last question is what is this smaller cable the one on the right goes to the brake booster but not sure about the other cable ![]() |

on your third question could it be an overflow for your brake fluid ?
Second question looks like the tach connector .. first one looks like an either/or scenario , not sure.

Hi Hellblau,
Charcoal canister for an SC is mounted in the engine compartment passenger side basically above the oil tank. If that plug is in the same loom as the gauge cluster it might be the one that plugs in behind the brake light/seat belt warning light in the middle of dash under the clock. Like theiceman said I think some of the newer Carerra looms might have had a plug like that for tach. My SC does not. RHD might be different but on my LHD SC the little skinny pipe looks like the brake fluid reservoir overflow hose that comes off the top of the side of the plastic brake fluid reservoir. Big pipe not sure do you have a bigger pic of that area in the frunk? Perhaps it's one of the vacuum hoses to the brake booster like you said. If you have a bigger pic I can compare with my frunk. |
