1973 Fuel Ruturn Line question - PHOTO

Hello:

I am currently working on a 1973 911E fuel system. I am fine with the main fuel line from the tunnel in the body.

As for the return line. Is it the broken end that can be seen in the photo below? Are both lines on the same side of the tunnel?

Thanks so much.

The 73 Model Year still had steel fuel lines through the Tunnel.

What you show is too large for fuel, so it's possibly the vent hose for the EGR. Correction, Charcoal cannister.

Thank you Art from 'Bama.

I think what is pictured is a vapor line to the charcoal cannister.

My vapor line to the charcoal canister is brittle and has broken in to pieces. Since I converted my car to Weber carburetors and took out the charcoal canister. What should I do with that vapor line which supposed connecting to the charcoal canister? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Our host should have this in stock.

The cloth braided hose should be ok for the vapor lines but absolutely not for today's fuel.

hienz, best thing is to plug a new vapor line into the carb hookups - PMO has a kit for this

This. It will suck the smelly gas fumes back into the engine.
