I love it. It’s very responsive, runs smooth, and they sound cool. The funny thing is I don’t have a frame of reference for a stock 911. The car wasn’t running when I got it, so my first drive was with the ITB’s. And, this is my first air cooled 911...again, no reference, but I’m not complaining!

Good to hear. I’m dealing with some broken head studs on my own resurrection project and I’m on the fence between a mild build on the engine or just repairing it and driving it much sooner.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hope you didn't sell the '67 Beetle. Driving my '70 bug keeps things interesting...

Yep, it went to a great owner in SoCal. I need a bigger garage, but don’t we all?

Ha! I couldn’t slip that past....here you go. You can see the ragged lines in the upper rpm range.

Also, someone with Porsche/ITB/Megasquirt experience is looking over the tune. He feels it should be making considerably more hp and offered to take a look.

It’s not a race car, but I don’t want to leave a lot on the table either. Any feedback is welcome!

Huge improvement on your engine bay. The crank pully has me puzzled though. Will you be adding AC?

That’s the plan and I actually thought ahead when I ordered the pulley.

I have a small port 3.0 motor with Triumph ITBs. When I had factory heat exchangers I dynoed similar peak hp numbers. However, my midrange was a bit fatter on torque. I was 170-175 ft lbs from 4200 - 5200 rpm.
I think you can really gain some torque by playing with the timing maps. There are some maps to compare here: The official EFI Ignition map sharing thread

my BBE heat exchangers really made a positive difference above 5500 RPM. I need to visit the dyno again to find out how much a difference but its enough to feel it from the drivers seat. Besides SSI's what else do you have? cams or porting?

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the motor, except that it was “rebuilt” at some point. It’s a ‘78 block with large port heads, headers, B&B muffler, and came with Weber carbs. Someone kind of hot rodded it about 10 years ago, based on my calculations. I knew the previous owner and actually test drove it for him when he purchased it. The owner prior to him had the engine work done, but I don’t have any documentation.

Thanks for the link, I’ll certainly compare to my tune and look for some obvious differences.
