Targa's vent window seal
I'm thinking of replacing the vent window top seals on my Targa as the rubber portion has been torn since I've owner the car (due to improperly adjusted window stop). I know these are held in place with some small rivets, and I was wondering if there are any hints on how to remove and replace these seals?

Just did it. Remove window frame (not too difficult). Remove 4 screws that hold leading edge to glass and back of frame. Set aside.
The part you want is held on with two copper rivets. Rivets and the part itself are available from our host. Drill out the old rivets (punch a starter hole so you don't drill your frame). Remove rivet detritus. I hammered the new rivets in with a helper. Two punches worked for me - one backward; underneath, with business end on the concrete, flat end against the back of the rivet, held in place by my helper. Hammer the top of the rivet flat with the back of the other punch. You'll know when it's tight. Screwing it back will tighten it more.

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like a nice winter project (along with a number of other things to keep me busy over the winter months).
