AC Fan Squeak on Low Speeds

So my "WORKING" AC in my 89, fan speeds all work fine, but I get a slight squeak at low and med speeds that gets very annoying. I'd like to grease/oil that squeaky fan!

After studying the repair guides and posts here, i'm still a little confused. So a couple questions for the experts.

1. is there more than 1 fan that operates when the AC system is on? I'm aware of the evap and condenser fans. Is there a fan in the dash that runs?

2. If so, where is that fan exactly?

And after this time to figure out why my auto heat is HOT HOT HOT and not so auto. Although variable fan speeds do work on the higher settings :-) Think this is the temp sensor... or something in this over engineered solution!

In my car the only fan that runs is the one pulling the air through the evap.
It sits behind the evap in my case, but would be different for LHD cars.

Your, motor is loose at the shaft and/or the cage is loose.

Cage, it needs to be looked at and if loose, you can tighten down the tabs to make it tighter.

If the motor shaft, remove it and use a socket the same ID of the shaft and use a mallet to push the locking cap in place. Over time this cap has lost it's tension and needs to be squeezed back into place.

While you are there you can lube it as well. Squeek will be gone but if the end cap is worn out it will soon come back.

Yes, in the smuggler's box.

You also have the front condensor fan too, That should be lubed and fused for extra measure. You can not hear it in the cab but if binding everyone outside will hear it but worse of all it is an indication of a binding motor so it should be addressed sooner or later as the resistance may cause a electrical fire.

Got it thanks. yes my condenser fan is fine, fused and runs ok.

the evap fan is quiet until it's been running for 10-15 mins on low then a little squeak.

Both or either fans can be oiled. It is not a real simple job but it is not overly difficult.

I have done it. The oil will "fix" it for a short time. It will not last. Be 100% sure you have the proper fuse on them. They often lock up and pop the fuse. New fan motors are stupid expensive for such a crappy motor. Replacing the motor will fix the issue.

I've gone through every fuse on the car and replaced them, and verified amp ratings... good there.

Appreciate all the guidance guys!
