My spark wire snapped why

My spark wire from cylinder one (thank god) snapped when I was checking to see if they were all fully pressed in. Any idea on why this would happen. I just changed the wires about a year and a half ago. And dose anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the head out haha

No idea if you mean the wire or actually the connector, so hard to answer your question. What brand of wires are they? Some are certainly more durable than others.

Maybe needle nose pliers would help remove the broken off part.
