Adjusting Adjustable Spring Plates
Is there a secret to adjusting the cam bolt on adjustable spring plates? I've just installed them on my 74 911 and I can't seem to get them to the highest setting. Should they be really hard to turn? I don't get this.
I've tried the 36 mm thin wrench on the head and I've tried locking two nuts on the front. ph |

You did loosen both nuts? You need to.

Yes. I t feels like I'm fighting the suspension, but I have the car raised. Could it be the sway bar?

I expected 'some' pressure, but I can't seem to turn it. It worked fine on my workbench before I installed it!

Thanks Chris. I'll try that later today. Always glad to see answers that agree with my assumptions.

I've found that I have to disconnect the sway bar and sometimes the shock.

Sway bar was one problem, shock was the big one. It prevented the control from dropping so the torsion abr was still loaded.
Just a comment : Buy the Pelican adjustable spring plates, they have a much better design. |
