You went through a lot with a blue 911. I have yet to go through 46 pages! I hope the new owner is part of pelican or will become one and not have this car 'disappear' which seems to happen a lot with well known cars that gets sold.
Best of luck with your new business venture in spite of 'lock down' and you got a great car as a trade. Enjoy it!! Plus thanks for sharing your build story. |
Chris sorry to see her go. Was a great documentary on the build. By chance were you on I4 yesterday heading west bound between Plant City and Tampa about 5:30?

Blue car or boxster? The guy that has it is out there. Stingray Chevrolet owner. |
The new owner of the blue car can't be all bad if he also owns a stingray corvette.
My Porsche, another Mike Bruns engine, and my stingray.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586021328.jpg |
Great build. I’ve seen the car many times. Glad it is staying in the Tampa Bay Area. I hope Mr. Stingray keeps driving the car and it doesn’t turn into a show/ garage queen.
Best of luck to you Chris. |
Its a SICKNESS. Heading down the rabbit hole with the Spyder, man this car is something else, who would have thunk. Parts are inbound and will be done within a week or two. The usual GT4 parts/stuff but on a drop top Spyder rather than the GT4.
Dundon competition headers, IPD plenum/Gt3 throttle body and a custom tune. A few cosmetic items as well, GT4 front splitter, clear side markers, powder coating the wheels satin black with new OEM center caps. 10MM wheel spacers all the way around and fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Car has an Alpine touch screen inside and some speakers from PO. I plan on doing a hard wired in Valentine 1 radar and that should do it. I wish I had the LWB seats but I couldn't pass up the deal on this car. Maybe I can find a set down the road, but almost unobtainium in the matching red, I'm sure. |
The blue one. Makes sense, very close to stingray Chevrolet.

That Spyder is a modern classic. Unparalleled performance. Flat 6 power. Beautiful styling. Congrats on your score.

SOLD THANKS
Also I have an extra Dynomax muffler (Wiliam Knight set up) that we used for the blue car build. If anybody wants it, new in box painted flat black w/engine temp paint. Very free flowing and dyno proved. Did well against a much more expensive GT3 cup muffler. Paid $125 plus ship. Will sell for $100 shipped. GT4 front 3pc lip/splitter, clear front turn signals, new tires installed and custom tag. Headers here tomorrow.

Thought some may be interested in my old car being turned into a long hood.

Interesting to see it transformed somewhat. But as someone who stumbled upon your car in the infield at 24 Hr of Daytona a few yrs ago, I prefer the G body look it had then. Oh well.
