Mod-S cams and different numbers
Hi you all.
I have a couple of questions regarding different specs on Mod-S camshafts for old Porsche 911 SOHC 12 valve engines. Anyone know why the numbers vary between the different makers, Elgin, Webcamshafts, Dougherty etc.? Are there more than one type of Mod-S grind out there? Regards Eskild Norway |

I believe Dougherty's Mod-S is the DC40. I think Webcamshafts Mod-S is the 120/104

I have the DC40 ModS cams in my 2.7.
Very flat torque curve and only 5HP off the peak of the engine in Magnus' 277 car. More power at lower RPM though, both running Webers with 34mm venturis.
