Deck Lid Script question
I am installing the correct deck lid on a 1977 930 and am not sure what it should be. I think it is "Turbo Carrera". Is this correct?
Thanks Brian |

For US cars, I thought the name Turbo Carrera was only on the 76, and that the "Carrera" name was deleted from 77-on.

I'm pretty sure is was turbo Carrera in 1976 and 1977 in the US and turbo elsewhere in the world.

Turbo only in 77. The turbo script was different on the 75-77 cars than the newer cars.

The PET shows the Turbo only script as part number 930 559 317 00.

Sometimes PET is not a good resource for what was originally correct on a car. You really need to look at copies of the original paper parts manuals.
If you do a search, you can find plenty of examples of 1977 turbos that have both badges. JR |
