Is this recommended reading? Good explanations, discriptions, Photos?

Any info relative to a 930?

Thank you,

Not recommended, but rather REQUIRED reading. Worth the price of admission...buy one from our host. Maybe he'll autograph it

101 Projects for Your Porsche is a must have. It will not give detailed explainations in rebuilding your motor, (that is comming soon) but provides clear instructions to the DIYer for many, many, many projects, upgrades and maintanance issues. Every 911/930 library should have one. The money spent on the book will pay for itself in the first day of its use.

Pay for itself 10 Fold!

First day did the front strut replacement. Pcar shop quoted me $800.
Bought the parts from our host for $125, did the labor in 1 1/2 hours. Saved $675. Even if my time is worth say $50/hr ( being nice to myself) that still brings us to $600.
Book costs $30. So that's 20 times more than the cost, in one project.
This is a no brainer.

One of the must haves

This manual is kinda like "Porsche repair for Dummies" and is excellent at laying out and then walking through various repairs and upgrades. I highly recommend 101 Projects, but if you're really a "dummy" like myself, I also recommend you add Bentleys repair manual. I have found these two to compliment each other picking up where the other lacks.

Its definitely worth the price! I saved a bundle doing my own brakes, tuning up the engine, sway bar bushing replacement, ignition switch replacement, etc. A required part of the collection.

Reminds me of the old, "How to keep your VW alive", which was a must for the hippy VW owner in the 60's.

It's definetly required reading. So far it's help me replace my shifter bushings, replace a dozen seals in my engine and pull my engine. There's still so much I want to do out of that book. It's highly recommended.

YOU MEAN WYANE SIGNS IT?! DAMN BARNS AND NOBLE!!!
