Can someone identify this color?

I'm curious to know what the factory name is for this color blue. I've noticed that on one of my computer monitors it looks like a brighter blue than it was in person. To me is has a little more of a gray tone when you actually see it.

We don't even know if it's a Porsche color. It could be 1972 Ford Torino blue for all we know. Plus, every computer monitor renders colors differently. We're not even all looking at exactly the same hue.

The car was at the Hilton Head Concours last November. Pretty sure it is a factory color. Anyone have a reference for factory colors for the 356s?

I'm thinking that it is closer to Aquamarine Blue after seeing that last pic. I really like all the cars! I really like that Aga Blue too!

I definitely see the grey tone too. Did find this, not sure how accurate it is: Porsche356Colors

Though this is likely too "bright" (I see less gray) and being used on a 911, this is a '62 356 color: Oslo Blue. At least that's what I recall, when I downloaded the pictures. I like all of these shades and have been tempted more than once to do a color change on my 993...pretty cost prohibitive to do it right.

I like that color too and that is an awesome looking car! Blues seem to be under appreciated. I got to see a Singer up close at Amelia Island and it got me to thinking about the car I posted at the beginning. When I eventually get to do the car I want to build I think it will be one of these shades of blue with chrome trim.

There is a "blue" thread here somewhere. Try and find a match there?

This is the Singer that got me to thinking about the 356 color. Also saw this one at Amelia. I like this color of blue too. The owner said it will be in next (this?) month's issue of Panorama.

Thing about color is it is highly subjective to several factors: 1. What color it is adjacent to. This shade of blue sitting on a grassy field will appear to have more red to it. The same blue sitting on asphalt will appear to have much less red in it. 2. Knowledge and skill of the photographer. Whether digital or film, it takes much knowledge of light and opposing filters to accurately represent color. If you really want to know the color code, I suggest printing this picture out and visiting this years event and asking around. Someone will know the car and the owner. Best of luck.
