unknown sensor
On the 3.2l Carrera motor, there is a sensor mounted on the oil breather cover on top of engine, flywheel end. What is this sender for? I see some reference to "Heater blower after run switch" in a manual I'm using, but I don't see that sensor in wiring diagrams.
I'm assuming that analog oil press and oil temp are off senders to the right of the pulley. Discrete oil pressure is on top of motor next to oil breater cover. Motronic uses air temp in air flow meter, cht in #3 cylinder head. Oil cooler fan temp switch is on top of oil cooler in rt frt fender. Thanx, dwightp |

Dwight:
That sensor (really just a temp sender) tells the fan in the engine compartment to keep blowing after the key is turned off if the engine is over a certain temp. I can't remember what the temp is right now, but I can find it if you like.

Yip, thanx! After your e-mail I found it in the wiring diagram. Good news, I don't need it. It's a Carrera motor in a SC chassis. Many thanx, dwightp |
