I searched and nothing conclusive... Wipers come on when I start the 3.2?
I have a 1986 3.2 and when I start the car, or even turn the ignition to the pre-start mode the wipers come on automatically and do a few passes. I checked the intermittent wiper switch on the dash and it is off. I confirmed it is working correctly. Any other ideas or links to "fixes" would be welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Andrew

mine does this too, or should I say my wipers will occasionally make a few swipes when driving.
pulled the fuse unless needed. also my high beams are on most of the time. I had replaced both some years ago ... sigh... need to pull both switches from the steering column and fix. I have seen the fix for the high beams, and suspect the fix for the intermittent wiper action will be the same. need to slightly bend the little contact. here are a couple links I saved for fixing the high beam issue. turn signal switch quick fix pictures Headlight dimmer repair? good luck.

Check how clean the ground wires are at the post just in front of the battery.

turn signals, drove me crazy! Traced everything down with an ohmmeter and a wiring diagram, found a floating ground at the body ground mounting point from the battery negative to the inner left fender. The floating ground found a path thru the windshield washer motor, causing intermittent wiper swipe! Grounding problems can cause WEIRD problems! I took off and cleaned all the wires under the grounding nut, several of them were quite corroded. Get a can of DeOxit D5 and use every time you rehookup any electrical connection. It cleans, deoxidizes, seals and protects electrical connections, it's awesome stuff! Amazon.com: CAIG DeOxit Cleaning Solution Spray, 5% spray 5oz: Everything Else
