When I did this on my 82, with the car on my low/mid rise lift, I also used bottle jacks to raise both control arms so that they were parallel to the ground, thinking at that point in their respective arcs, the sway bar end brackets on the control arms would be furthest apart from one another.mIt worked, or maybe it was just the silicone paste lube, or my fine physique and buff arms? Not likely! John in CT.
