Four inch is just too rice. Actually, stock size (oval shape, I'm not sure how big they are) looks best IMO.

Try it on! Make a cardboard dummy and hold it up to the car. I did that with 85mm (3,3 inches) and 100mm (4 inches). 85 could be a bit larger and 100 looks too large.

4" on the widebody looks best methinks--or the narrowbody for that matter--that's what I've got. Not rice looking.

The exhaust on this car is very nice....993 motor creates a beautiful note that is Porsche music to the ears! Oh...almost forgot to mention that this is one of Harald's projects!

To me I think it sort of depends on what size the opening is. I went with twin 2.5" tips because I thought it would fill the hole good. And everyone has oval tips and I like have something different. Plus I am not that fond of oval tips

I also like either dual tips or better yet, quad tips (two per side), but jeez even 3 inch is pretty big, buses have 3" exhaust.

The only thing that I have ever seen with an exhaust over 3 inches is rice. To each his own, and it might not look bad on the back of a 911 (I've never seen 4" in person), but 4" isn't my bag baby.

RSR style, actually used the dust covers from a set of shocks for the exits. Did this for the a thinner tube wall look.

Blown,
I like your dual tips. Where'd you get them? Are they custom made?
I've been trying to locate/buy a dual tip off 930 Turbo muffler, but no luck.

Poll answer: 3"
I think the Oval tips look good on 993, but not on 911/964's. Just my opinion. What type of muffler you planning on attaching to these tips?

Thanks
Mike
