Hey guys, thanks for all the great advice!

The car did it's usual sluggish start this morning . I've taken pressure readings several times and they are always in spec. I might try hooking up the meter tonight and taking a reading first thing in the morning to see if there's any latency in the cold pressure. This startup issue is pesky, and I want to work it out, but the car still drives well otherwise. Maybe better now with the new wires

The good news is that I can drive to John's shop, sixer in tow! I messed with the mixture because I figured with the timing and wire changes I might as well have John dial it in for me again anyway, and if I could experiment a bit I might be able to figure out what's going on with the cold startup.

you definitely did. i did this to mine and after warm up it just wouldnt run

depending on your comfort level, turn it back to where you started and make TINY adjustments forward. when i say tiny i mean 10 degrees kinda tiny, then drive and report back. simply put, when the car is warm and all is good, you can make the idle hunt, get it there and back off a hair
