How long can "stabilized" fuel sit for?
How long can "stabilized" fuel sit for? ... And what's best stabilizer to use?

I still use the gas from my 911 in my lawnmower from December 2007.
Had a full tank when I did the money shift. Pumped fuel into 5 gallons jugs. I used Sta-bil. |

Use the Marine Stabil. Stabilizes gas and prevents ethanol separation which prevents corrosion. It's pricier than the regular Stabil, but everyone in the marine industry uses it. Put up my boat and didn't use it for 4yrs, started right up! Great stuff!

I think Stabil makes a "storage" version made for longer term use.

Another tip to consider is if you know you're going to let the car sit, attempt to have the tank full of non-ethanol fuel. May not even need stabilizer that way or just another level of protection.
