Airbox question - CIS
I no longer have CIS on my car. I was going to sell my airbox (has pop-off valve, metal "spider" in the bottom) but looking at it, it appeared to have glue between the halves. I figured this was a repair, so I decided not to sell it. After reading some recent posts it seems that the halves were "glued" from the factory? What's the best way to determine if mine is worth selling or not? Never had an issue with the car running. I had the entire engine rebuilt and went with PMOs.

There mostly all fixable and getting harder to find. I would clean it up, repair any leaks and sell it
The fuel enrichment spider was a attempt to prevent the box blowing up with a backfire by moving the cold fuel closer to the runners. I think only on 81-82 SC's. Easley removed for older cars

Todd,
You can plug all the holes and put low pressure air in while the box is in a container of water to see if bubbles come out of any cracks.
