Renn shift vs Wevo
I've had a Rennshift shifter for probably 8+ years. There have been little issues I just put up with. Thinking of going the Wevo route? I have new bushings and the new coupler.
Anyone have any comparison comments?

What are the issues, I have one in my 72 as well, wondering if the small issues I have are the same as yours, or have nothing to do with the shifter at all?
I think I maybe read a few posts with comparisons, a search might be in order.

What issues? The Rennshift in my race car has been fantastic. Support from James West has been stellar!

Love my Rennshift compared to the stock gear shift.

considered both, went Wevo based on reading here. the install takes a little longer but isn't hard to do. I also added the Wevo coupler. not hard to adjust, and ZERO issues. fantasic unit!

My vote is for Rennshift. Wevo is just too ugly to install in a Porsche.

I've had my rennshift for a long time also. However I've always had an alignment issue with the 1st/2nd plane and it has always felt like the base is twisted and shifting from 3rd/4th feels like I'm actually pulling slightly towards the right rear wheel. I've replaced the lower bushing twice over the years as well as the coupling.
I think I'm going the try the Wevo.

Any way to swap in another Rennshift and try it? Your issue sounds like it has to do with the car or tranny, not the shifter. Hard to imagine that your shifter is any different from any other... ie somehow out of alignment.

I know I will get blasted for this, but what the hay. Years ago (20) I bought a welt short shift for my 72. Now, 72 is a weird year when it comes to shifters, but I frickn loved that shifter. When I put a 75, 8:31 tranny I also installed the renn, wish I would have kept the welt to swap and test, oh well.
