Show me your original Carrera 3.0!
I have a ´77 911 R.O.W. The previous owner has more or less converted it to Carrera 3.0 (3.0 engine, early carrera tail, flares etc.).
I would like to see what a real original Carrera 3.0 looks like. Does mine look all right? By the way, what are the main differences between the ´77 Carrera 3.0 and ´77 2.7? Flares, engine, what else? Here with 15" BBS wheels. I have also 16" Fuchs wheels. // sk |

How about your rear bumper pads? They look to be off of a 74.

'74s and Carrera 3.0s use the same pads, I think.

Noah,
I had an offer a few years back from one of our UK friends on the board to get some from a wrecking yard over there. You might put out the word. I will try to find his name and e-mail address. Alan Poh '77 Carrera 3.0 #499 |

My company recently developed a website for a local used Porsche dealer.
Here's a picture of a '76 Carrera 3.0 that he has for sale. It's in museum condition -- 116,000 original kilometers! I must admit, I've experienced some sordid little daydreams about this car ever since I laid eyes on it .... ![]() Matt Holcomb MFIWDP 1974 911 Carrera 2.7 (RoW) Dedicated Homepage Engine Rebuild Homepage Pelican Gallery Profile Last edited by Matt Holcomb; 12-01-2003 at 11:18 PM.. |

Just to stir things up
... Here is my baby. Vin says Carrera 3.0 1977. I think it is an M491 option. The flares were leaded in, and I'm told that is unlikely to have been done in the states. I will know after I get the COA. I replaced the periscope style headlight washers after the strip and repaint.
