Mine is a 2.4 the 250 hp engine is a 2.5. Mine has 11.2 CR the 2.5 11.6 I think. I have a Webcam 993 Super Sport grind. I think the 2.5 is similar to a DC44 grind. Mine ported 993 heads with Ti valves. The 2.5 has Extreme custom heads. The 2.4 has Electromotive Tec-GT ECU. The 2.5 newer Motec.
It appears Electromotive is out of business as is Rasant. Bummer.

Phoenix- Glad to see you are keeping your AC compressor with your ITBs! You seem to be in a well-respected minority!

Can you expand on your starting point? Was it a 2.4? Can you expand on the EFI used? .you mention both Clewett EFI and PMO EFI. TIA Johan

Those TWM/Borla throttle boddies and the PMOs are my favorites. They're cast and so they don't have that bling machined look. They also have very stable/static linkage setups. I would love to come across a set.

Wow! Super impressive. Beautiful equipment and the performance must be stonking.
At first I thought that was a massive fuel line running across the top of the fan shroud before I realized they were intercooler coolant lines. Last edited by rswannabe; 01-30-2023 at 04:12 PM.. |

The starting point was indeed a 2.4 with PMO carb induction. This was switched to PMO EFI units using a Clewett engine management set up (computer brain). We were able to keep some of the PMO carb linkage and modify a few bits. This is a much more reliable system also providing the ability to fine tune along the full rev range. |

It's been a long development process that's still going. The performance is absolutely fantastic! The water to air intercoolers are better than any of the air to air (over the engine) setups by an order of magnitude. * NO heatsoak at all! * Normal driving sees intake air temps basically ambient in boost * Hard driving sees a few degree rise over ambient in boost, after a while. * Water temp cools back down very quickly. * Engine cooling fan is completely unobstructed * Easy to work on anything in the engine bay! The only way to go. |
