Ultimate Before & After Thread

Anything Porsche. Large or small.
Explanation if illuminating---how long it took, special equipment
and or materials, unusual processes, budgets, etc.








'79 930 / 3.3 / 7 month restomod. Maintained stock but for hydraulic CTs, rocker shaft seals, EGR delete.
Piston/conrod assemblies balanced to 0.5 gram deviation.

2 years later



New genuine steel panels all round, new wheels, ITB's, DTA ECU, sports manifolds + 2 in 1 out silencer, 1/2 pint of blood, 10 pints of sweat and a whole lot of tears !

fully disassembled, blasted, customized and restored 75 targa with factory hard top, 993 style turbo ft fenders, steel flares, C2 bumpers and rockers, 82 3.0 sc 9.5/1 engine with PMS flywheel, 964 cams, flowed heads, ssi's short geared 915 w/lsd, polybronze, bilstein,working lambda, modified and highly tuned cis, tensioners, pop valve, backdated exhaust and heater, 2300 lbs. no bolt left untouched. 1970 911E. Nice car but needs a re-do.

This is my full home build no professionals called in, (cant afford it)
Im doing everything down to every nut and bolt, i did all the wiring, welding, painting, upholstery, engine, etc the whole nine yards i started in 2011 i think, im still working on her today Cos its taking me so long i bought another 911 a Carrera 996 for my daily driver until my mistress is finished.. Cant wait

Was a CAB Conversion, i took it upon myself to put her back to how she left the factory or as close as i could with my limited experience, (no experience)
But you have to start somewhere and with a lot of postings here i started.
