Back up light issue
Noticed an issue with my reverse lights on a 1984 3.2 coupe. They do not come on when the car is put into reverse but they do come on when the power is applied in reverse. Brightness seems to vary with revs.
Any idears?

Could be the back-up light switch itself is sticking. The varying brightness might be a function of the VR, maybe check this with a meter on the battery?

+1 ^^^, Check the switch connectors, they maybe dirty or solder is fractured. Put the DVM to it and check for voltage.
