Color Code for the Flat Black used on Dashboard?
It may sound like a strange question -- how many versions of flat black can there be? The answer is tons! So my question is: which one is right, or at least very close to right? What have people used? I don't think this question has ever been addressed based on a few searches that I just did.
I'm specifically interested in the long-hood era, but feel free to post a response for the later cars too.

I don't know the official answer but Wurth Satin Black laquer is a very nice flat black with a slight sheen. I've used it on suspension parts and the color is much, much better than ordinary flat blacks out there.
