Broken Head Stud.....what now/next?

Maybe this should be in the engine rebuild forum, sorry if I've violated some rule.

So I've just found out I have a broken Head Stud on my 3.2. i'm going to replace the the studs but after that I'm a little lost as to what else I should do. The car is a daily driver and I'm not trying to get 300hp out of her but seeing as the engine is out it would be dumb of me to not do a few things other than the Studs. That's where you lot come in. What should I replace?

I'm going to replace the sound pad. Looks like replacing the fuel lines might be a solid move. I'll have a valve adjustment done but what else should I do.

Please don't suggest a 3.6 swap, 3.4 twin plug or anything crazy like that. I'n not made of money.

As always thanks for your help

Oil pressure not temp. He's wondering about your bottom end bearings.

At 220 k miles it would be a false economy to just do a top end....I'd do top/bottom rebuild and yes, not inexpensive.

You will probably have more dilivar breaking in the near future.

that is not bad oil pressure at 3K RPM. Do a valve job and call it done.

Yelcab, those are some nice toys you've got there!
I feel that the engine is strong, good pressure, good temps, not losing that much oil no smoke. I was hoping Id have more time before pulling the motor but......here we go.

James, you're going to have the heads, cam carriers, and cylinders off so careful inspection of everything will give you a clue as to the condition of the bottom end. If you pull the rods you can inspect the crank journals and rod bearings without splitting the case, but you can't see the intermediate shaft bearings and those probably need replacing at your mileage. I believe I would go ahead and do the full overhaul.

It would depend on the cars history to me.
At 220 k just a top end could be a false economy when everything is out.
OTOH 3.0 bottom ends are known to be good for well over 300K....so, if everything drove properly, temps and oil pressure were strong/positive...ran cool, good psi. ....and I had a solid history of maintenance..like, I knew or had records from day one I might consider just a top end.
That and what you can afford presently....luck with it.
