8 or 9

Can you tell by the pic if these are 8 or 9" Fuchs?

I would think 8. My sidewalls looked a little more stretched when I had 9s on 245/45/r16 tires.

Looks like an 8, 9s have a recessed lug area if I recall, can't tell from the angle. Pull the wheel and look inside for the specs.

I think 8s, the nuts look at surface, not recessed.

Yeah, they look like 8 to me too. Which makes sense as 8" were the standard rear size for Fuchs in '88.

Most definitely 8s, not 9s.

Although 8s were NOT standard for the rear for 1988.

I thought the 8s were standard in both 88 and 89, but I could be wrong.

I've got 8's on mine and they look identical to that, down to the tyre sidewall bulge. Anyone have a picture of their car with 9's?

I don't think 8s were standard. I have an '88 Carrera Cab that came with 7s and 6s.

Looks like the lugs are more recessed on the 9s based on close up of sugarwood

The wheels pictured on the white car are 16x8. Plus they have old Bridgestone S-03 tires (stopped production around 2007 I believe) so take that for whatever it's worth- old tires due for replacement based on age alone.

Yes, almost ALL of the extra inch is on the inside of the wheel.

Not quite
the 9 is 1" wider overall, .4" on the outside and .6" on the inside.
