Voltage regulator questions
OK, I decided to replace my original mechanical voltage regulator with a new solid state unit. The problem is the new one has NO LABELING for the electrical connections. Which wire goes where?
![]() The next question is do I need the capacitors that the old unit has? ![]() Thanks,

The brown wire goes on the middle one.
The red wire coming from the upper condensator goes to the left. The red wire coming from the lower condensator goes to the right.

I'm still want to confirm three things.
Is this the correct regulator to match with my '71 SEV Motorola alternator? Can I eliminate the capacitors that are used with the original regulator? Are they still needed? Is this picture showing the correct labeling of the regulator's terminals? ![]()
