With both wheels pointed straight ahead, my front passenger side tire is much closer to the fender/bumper than my drivers side, please see the pics below. 1"+ closer to be exact.
Perhaps it's supposed to be like this but I never noticed it until after I had an alignment and corner balance last fall. Any suggestions? ![]() ![]() |

Do you recall if it was that way before the alignment? Looks like someone adjusted the caster which is the front to rear adjustment on the top strut mount.

wow, that is a huge difference. My guess would be caster or previous accident, but I don't know, others will have a better idea

This car hasn't had any accidents. I noticed the gap difference after the wheel alignment & corner balance.
The car doesn't pull to one side at lower or highways speeds. But anything over 80 since the alignment and it seems to kind of darty and light in the front? |

Darty and light in front? Sounds like too much toe out to me. I'm starting to suspect who ever did the alignment didn't do a very good job.

you could probably measure the gap from the control arm to the wheel. Basically the control arm will always be in the same place from driver to passenger side and the caster is adjusted by moving the shock. If from one side to the car to the other the gap between the wheel and control arm changes then yup you've got a problem. Otherwise, if they match, I would chalk it up to misaligned body panels (the same reason why people shouldn't measure ride height based on fender lip) . Something that severe looks fishy though.
